Do you believe we should be able to make the decision whether we would like to end our own life or not? (With regards to terminal illnesses etc) It is seen as inhumane to keep suffering animals alive, so why is it different for humans?
Tony Nicklinson has lost his court battle over his right to terminate his life after being left paralysed from the neck down as a result of a stroke in 2005. His only means of communication is to blink. He will appeal the ruling, but the court has stated that this is a matter for Parliament to decide on, and not a court. Many other cases have been fought and lost in the same manner.
