Emma King qualified as an oral hygienist at the University of Stellenbosch in 1992. She has worked in private practice for the past 18 years gaining vast experience in preventative oral health as well as periodontal treatment and maintenance. Emma’s main passion lies in the aesthetic aspects of dentistry associated mainly with tooth whitening, as well as the marketing of various health products. She works in private practice in Cape Town with Dr Mark Bowes, the best aesthetic dentist in the business!

After years of lecturing to dentists and oral hygienists, Emma decided to start her own health site, sharing the knowledge she has gained over the years, as well as that of others in the health industry. The website has grown to incorporate health events, marketing of various health products, and many charity initiatives as well as an all new sports section. Dr Darren Green (@DrDarrenGreen) has also joined forces with SAHealthblog, as the resident doctor, and shares his Cape Argus Q and A’s on the site and gets involved in all aspects of the site, including events, MC’ing and the various charity initiatives we are involved in or run…..and just by the way……he is the best crooner around (keep an eye out for his next performance at Crystal Towers, where you listen to his magical voice whilst sipping on cocktails and eating sushi)

The recently started @SASportsBlog on twitter is the handle for my all new SPORTS section, and is run by @GrantPringle and @franc_king both twitter and the website. Our followers are growing daily and loving their interactive tweeting! Francois has been in the marketing field for over 20 years and is a sports and nature enthusiast, and Grant runs Pringle Sports Management / Foundation, coaches cricket for The Cricket School of Excellence, and has worked with SA Rugby and the CLT20 Champions League.

@2OVfm, or 2Oceans Vibe Radio, as they are known, is SAHealthBlog and Emma’s media partner. Emma is also currently writing the health pages for various magazines.
